For a daily number without opening the app, you'd script Instagram's API. Here is what that script has to get right.

Daily totals for the whole account, every post, reel and story included. Quick setup adds Followers, Views and Interactions. Aggregation is how days add up when you pick a weekly or monthly KPI instead of a daily one.

How days are counted
- Instagram can take up to 48 hours to finish counting a day. Morning Pulse re-reads the last 10 days on every run, so later emails and trends use Instagram's latest totals.
- Instagram doesn't share past follower counts. Morning Pulse saves your count every night, so Followers starts the day you connect.
- The same account can be reached on several days, so weekly and monthly Reach show the average day.

Use a professional account
Business or Creator. Switching is free and reversible: in Instagram, open your profile, tap ☰ > Account type and tools > Switch to professional account.

Continue on Facebook
Sign in on facebook.com with the account that manages your Instagram and choose it. Back in Morning Pulse, check the account, then save. Quick setup adds Followers, Views and Interactions.

Morning Pulse uses two permissions: your basic profile and your account insights. Facebook also lists message access because Meta includes it in every Instagram connection. Morning Pulse never reads or sends your messages.

Which Instagram numbers are in the email?
Followers, views, reach, likes, comments, shares, saves, interactions and profile link taps. They are daily totals for your whole account, each compared with the previous day, last week and last month. There are no per-post numbers yet.
Does it work with a personal account?
No. Instagram only shares insights for Business and Creator accounts. Switching is free and reversible: in Instagram, open your profile, tap ☰ > Account type and tools > Switch to professional account. Professional accounts are public.
Can Morning Pulse show who unfollowed me?
No. Instagram doesn't share who follows or unfollows you, so Morning Pulse can't show it. You see your follower count every day, so a drop shows, but not who left.
Why does Followers start the day I connect?
Instagram shares your current follower count but no history. Morning Pulse saves the count every night from the day you connect, so the line starts there.
Why can yesterday's numbers rise later?
Instagram can take up to 48 hours to finish counting a day. Morning Pulse re-reads the last 10 days on every run, so later emails and trends use Instagram's latest totals.
What can Morning Pulse do with my Instagram access?
Read your basic profile and your account insights. Facebook also lists message access because Meta includes it in every Instagram connection. Morning Pulse never reads or sends your messages. It never posts, comments or likes, and it doesn't store your posts, captions, comments, followers' identities or profile photo. The access token is encrypted at rest. Disconnecting deletes our copy; to remove access on Meta's side too, go to Meta Business Settings > Integrations > Connected apps.
